Basement Playroom Conversion
So... the goal was always to have the basement movie room be "convertible" into a play space for Lily and her friends. That was a big part of the reason I chose to use OSB panels for the walls, rather than drywall--it would make adding fun things for Lily MUCH easier (and safer). Starting with the climbing wall!
Then I added monkey bars between the joists--really just iron pipe and flanges, but they work perfectly!
Heavy duty carabiners (rated at 5,000 pounds per) are mounted throughout the room, using two eyebolts each (each eyebolt rated at 1,500 pounds), and screwed directly into the wall studs (NOT just into the wall itself). These are used for the rope swings, the trapezes, and the large cargo net.
Playing around without the net...
...and with the net! It's rated at 2,000 pounds, and I used two of them, just to be extra safe. I can (and have!) climb and bounce around on it with no issues whatsoever. :)

Rock wall and trapeze practice with her friend... :)
It's a great room for parties, too!
